Alex has over 20 years of Human Resources experience in various industries, including FMCG, Retail, Energy, Oil & Gas and Mining.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, he had established the South America office of a boutique consultancy in Chile. His vast career has equipped him with a broad vision of the Chilean and Latin American market, with deep experience in leadership, change management and culture.
Before moving his career to consulting, Alex held HR Executive positions in several multinational companies, notably with British American Tobacco, where he was Group Head of HR – Business Services and then with BHP Billiton where he was Vice President of HR for the Copper business. In these positions, he played a pivotal role in several large-scale business transformations, working alongside other C-Suite leaders to integrate innovative HR practices with strategic business objectives to generate profitable and sustainable growth.
Alex has held several international roles, with experience in Latin America, North America, Europe and Australasia. He speaks English and native Spanish and has conversational level in French. He is an Electrical Engineer from the University of Chile, with studies in Human Resources at the University of Michigan – Stephen M. Ross School of Business and the London Business School, and a certified coach from New Ventures West in San Francisco, California.
