Global Sector Leader, Chemicals, Materials & Industrial Manufacturing, Senior Client Partner
Alex Martin is Global Sector Leader for Chemicals, Materials, and Industrial Manufacturing for Korn Ferry’s Global Industrial Market. Based in the firm’s Reston, Virginia office, he is also a Senior Client Partner and member of the Private Equity Center of Excellence and the Board and CEO practice.
Previously, Mr. Martin was the director of corporate development at Carlisle Companies, a diversified manufacturing company. Earlier, he had profit and loss responsibility as business director for a European division of Chemtura Corporation. He also gained experience in marketing and product development while working with Procter & Gamble and Danaher.
During his more than 15 years as an executive search and talent consultant, he has completed hundreds of searches for C-level executives and has completed numerous executive assessment projects for clients in the chemicals and industrial sector.
His clients have included large multinational conglomerates, middle market manufacturing companies, and portfolio companies of leveraged buyout and venture capital firms.
Mr. Martin previously served on the board of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).
Mr. Martin received a master’s in business administration from Harvard University and a bachelor’s of science degree, cum laude, in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
He is fluent in French and has a working knowledge of German.
