She has worked for more than 19 years helping organizations to achieve sustainable results by developing their leaders, aligning their culture to the strategy, and integrating business, work and people in management systems.

Dr. Gutierrez has worked with clients in Brazil, Chile, Argentina Colombia, El Salvador, USA, Nicaragua, Peru, Venezuela, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Mexico- in a variety of industries- developing competency models, assessing & developing executives, implementing strategies, and designing change processes.

She has specialized in Management by Competencies, Leadership Assessment & Development, Culture Assessment, Culture Transformation, and Performance Management. 

Dr. Gutierrez joined Hay Group USA in 2007, as a Research Consultant at the McClelland Center for Research & Innovation in Boston. Before that, Betzaluz was an Adjunct Professor of International Management at the Boston University School of Management. She also worked at Hay Group Venezuela before becoming part of the Hay Group team in Mexico. She joined Korn Ferry Hay Group Costa Rica in 2017.

Betzaluz received her Doctorate in Organizational Behavior, with minor in Strategy, and her MBA from Boston University in USA. Her Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration is from Universidad de Oriente in Venezuela.
