Chong joined the Korn Ferry family (Futurestep)  in 2011 as the Director of Business Development, Asia. He was made Managing Director (MD) of Greater China in 2012, then MD of Asia in 2013. In 2014, he was appointed as President, Asia Pacific. In May 2019, he was  appointed Chief Commercial Officer.

Chong brings with him a wealth of business leadership, client management, partnership and outsourcing expertise having led a business across 13 countries in Asia Pacific, as well as, having worked with clients to create innovative outsourcing solutions in all major markets.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Chong was the founder and Managing Director of Vantage Limited where he spent the past 3 years providing clients with outsourcing and IT consulting advisory services across Asia. Chong also spend 22 years with EDS where he built a successful long-term career as managing director for Hong Kong, Greater China and Korea and also as director for Client Solutions Group in Texas, USA and other roles as vice president, sales and business development in Hong Kong.

Chong has a BA in History and Religion and an MBA in Finance. Chong is originally from Malaysia and currently resides in Hong Kong with his family.
