Director, Search Assessment
Dr. Poby is a subject matter expert in Korn Ferry's proprietary Search Assessment tool, responsible for administering and interpreting results, as well as developing job and culture profiles used to benchmark candidates.
She is skilled at distilling down assessment results and other data into practical narratives that are easy to understand. Her style is straightforward, warm, and curious, with a focus on reaching goals unique to each client.
Working with a wide array of organizations, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, Kari has assessed top leaders across many industries (e.g. industrial, utilities, life sciences, healthcare, higher education, insurance & financial services, professional services, hospitality, entertainment, consumer and packaged goods, and nonprofits). She has provided clear, concise, actionable feedback to clients, placements, and coachees, with aims to develop strong, impactful leaders.
With nearly a decade of experience in management consulting, executive assessment, and career placement, Dr. Poby approaches assessment with a clear view of person-organization fit.
Kari earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the same institution, and a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking, travel, cocktails, and board games.
