October 18, 2023 – Korn Ferry (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Office Managing Director: Junichi Takinami), a global organizational consulting firm, and Workday, Inc (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President Japan: Takumi Masai), a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for Human Resources and Finance, today announced that they have established an advisory partnership agreement in Japan.

The partnership, which will initially focus on organizations in Japan, is expected to expand globally through a formal, worldwide agreement between the two companies.

With this regional partnership agreement, Korn Ferry becomes the first Workday Advisory Partner* in the Japanese market. By combining Korn Ferry's extensive knowledge in the organizational consulting domain with Workday's technology, the two companies will provide consistent support from strategic design of HR and organizational systems that are aligned to enable actual HR operations.

As business competition continues to intensify and the need to improve corporate competitiveness becomes more urgent, traditional HR management alone will face challenges in today’s business environment. An increasing number of Japanese companies are seeking new HR management approaches such as visualization of HR information, enhancement of HR development, and transition to a job-based HR management system. Workday and Korn Ferry are collaborating to provide more extensive and comprehensive support to Japanese companies facing these challenges.

Through this new partnership agreement, the two companies will promote strategic planning focused on HR consulting and the implementation of HR transformation. Korn Ferry offerings will now be enabled through the Workday platform to meet general and unique human resource needs.

The value expected to be created by the partnership includes integrated support from planning to execution of HR strategies, an easier and more realistic shift to job-based human capital management and strengthening the support system for companies seeking global human resources.

The partnership will also enable the integration of insights into daily human capital decisions, utilizing Korn Ferry’s talent platform consisting of best-in-class job profiles, organizational insights that spans compensation, skills, and applications that enable talent processes and programs.
