Head of Executive Search, Hong Kong, Senior Client Partner, Global Financial Services
Oliver Read is the Head of Executive Search in Hong Kong, and a Senior Client Partner within the Global Financial Services practice, residing in Hong Kong, where he has oversight of the Global Banking and Markets sector in the Asia Pacific region.
With more than seventeen years of experience in executive search, Oliver joined Korn Ferry in 2018 from a leading multinational executive search firm, where he was head of Asia Pacific Global Markets and a member of the Global Financial Services practice. Previously Oliver was Partner in Charge of Asia at a New York headquartered global executive search boutique. Oliver began his working career in the information services industry, as a Business Development Manager for a global leader in consumer and business credit reporting. He moved from the U.K. to Hong Kong in 2004, beginning his executive search career soon after.
With a proven track record; Oliver is well known in the industry as an authority in the Asia Pacific financial services executive search market. He has successfully completed search assignments across all levels, for global investment banks, hedge funds, proprietary desks and alternative investment clients.
Oliver graduated in 1998 with a bachelor of arts in Business Studies (honors) from Anglia Ruskin University and holds an Advanced Certificate in Executive Search and Leadership Consulting from Cornell University, School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
