Sarah Hezlett is a Vice President, Assessment Science, North America with the Korn Ferry Institute.
Sarah helps design and maintain Korn Ferry’s assessment portfolio, including self-report assessments, 360-degree feedback surveys, team surveys and simulations. She guides, leverages and documents research underpinning Korn Ferry’s assessments. For example, she partnered with DE & I experts in testing and refining the evidence-backed Inclusive Leader model. She has studied the talent management implications of climate change.
Sarah has more than 20 years of experience assisting a variety of clients design, deploy, and/or evaluate talent management solutions, including leadership development practices, 360-degree feedback systems, selection procedures, and employee engagement processes.
Previously, Sarah served as Director, Assessment Development and Analytics for Javelin HR Solutions where she led a team creating high-stakes certification tests. Her experience also includes working as a consultant and researcher at PDRI (now CEB), Questar Data Systems, and PDI (now Korn Ferry), along with serving as a faculty member at the University of Illinois.
Sarah’s research, which focuses on development, 360-degree feedback, mentoring, and predicting work and academic performance, has been published in peer-reviewed journals, including Science, Psychological Bulletin, and Current Directions in Psychological Science. She is a past president of Minnesota Professionals for Psychology Applied to Work and co-led the creation of its mentoring program.
Ms. Hezlett earned her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Minnesota, where she is now an Adjunct Professor. As an undergraduate, she majored in Politics at Princeton University.
