Tessa G. Misiaszek, PhD is the Head of Research with the Korn Ferry Institute.
Dr. Misiaszek is a speaker, writer, and professor who, throughout her professional and academic experience, has examined the intersection between marketing strategy and workplace culture. She recently co-authored and published her first book through The Economist, Branding That Means Business, in September 2022.
Prior to joining the Korn Ferry Institute, Dr. Misiaszek spent nearly two decades developing human capital strategies to improve health care, with an emphasis on provider–patient communication. She has served as the COO of Quality Interactions and CEO of Empathetics, Inc. – two companies founded by physicians from the Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Misiaszek taught in the Simmons School of Management and Hult International Business School for several years. She has also served as an Instructor with Harvard Division of Continuing Education, and is the cofounder of the Happy at Work podcast.
Dr. Misiaszek completed her PhD at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. She also holds a master’s degree in public health and a BSc in resource economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
